At an early age, Gabriela became very interested in the beauty and fashion/modeling industry and finally decided to pursue her interest both as a model and backstage as a stylist and Make-Up Artist.

After completing the Gemini Make-Up Artistry Certification Course, She was hired at Shopper’s Drug Mart where she was trained on various lines including Shiseido, Lancome, Dior, Smashbox, Lise Watier, etc. and became an expert in the world of cosmetics and skincare. Gabriela has since graduated from Complections Make-Up School in Toronto and has had several opportunities to travel worldwide and share her skills.

Gabriela currently works as a Make-Up Artist for Sutherland Models in Toronto, teaching the Make-Up Portion of their male and female modeling courses and styling on the set of various Photo Shoots for the Kamera Kids Division.

She has a great deal of experience working in the Toronto Fashion Industry as an Artist and as a Model and hopes to gain future behind-the-scenes experience.

Julia Hagerman became very interested in modelling in high school and started with Gemini Modelling in 2002, at the age of 16. She participated in several fashion shows and ended up winning the MAG Model Search of 2002.

After focusing on her studies for four years, she returned to the modelling world. This summer she was modelling in Milan and brings to Gemini a wealth of knowledge and experience from working abroad.

She is now living in Milan and travelling throughout Europe on different modelling assignments. Stay tuned for her next trip back to Canada!

Kathleen has been with the Gemini Group since the age of fifteen as a student, model and now instructor. With her years of participation in various fashion shows, photo shoots and promotional work, Kathleen brings first-hand knowledge to her students with great energy and enthusiasm.  
 
Beyond Gemini, Kathleen is a full-time student working on the completion of a degree in international business management.  Her strong sense of community has led Kathleen to volunteer in many projects both locally and abroad. She looks forward to continuing a bright future with Gemini.

Word of the Year: Now: You can't build your success on what you're going to do. This is a year for me to take action, try new things, and make decisions.

Laurie became interested in the fashion & beauty industry at a young age. She started with Gemini in 2001(at the age of 14) taking the full year modelling program. Throughout her year at Gemini, she participated in several Fashion Shows, both as a model and as a back stage assistant.

In January of 2002, she was hired on with the Gemini team as an Office Assistant. After returning from a modeling contract in Korea and Hong Kong she has taken over the role of Model Bookings Manager. Laurie handles the day-to-day operations in the office and as well, she works daily on keeping the Gemini website up-to-date.

Word of the Year: Persevere: To persist in anything undertaken. To maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty, obstacles or discouragement.

Stephanie Storm is a clothing designer for the emerging label Glyphiks. She started her company in 2000, deciding to embark on an unpredictable business idea: Artistically simple Canadian clothing. A graduate from the University of Waterloo Fine Arts Department, she used her skills in computer graphics, sculpture and photography to develop a clothing line that appeals to women with an eye for something unique. The following year, Stephanie attended the Venture Creation Program and learned the necessary skills to run the business.

Today, the label is going strong, as it continues to grow and evolve into a unique alternative to mass produced clothing.

Our goal is not to mass produce our garments, but to bring our customer a sense of individuality by only doing small productions runs with high quality fabrics and unique designs. We do our best to promote green living by creating a garment that will stand the test of time, and we are conscious of limiting our waste and avoiding plastic packaging.
