Frequently Asked Questions
Does it cost anything to Model?
There is no fee to become a part of our 'New Faces' division. You can submit pictures and your stats to Gemini at any time by simply filling out a Model Fact Sheet and providing a few recent photos of yourself. If you would like your pictures to be returned, please enclose a self addressed stamped envelope. *Images are kept on file for 12 months.
Your images do not need to be professional, but do need to be recent and unedited. We review your images and fact sheet and based on your potential with Gemini, book an Open Call appointment. At Open Call appointments, we will discuss with you your potential and answer any further questions you may have. No previous experience necessary.
How do I start modelling?
There are basically two different ways to begin modelling.
- Attend an Open Call appointment, which is a time when Modelling Agencies see new talent. If you are interested in attending an Open Call, you are required to submit a Model Fact Sheet (See Below) and snap shots in advance. We will book appointments only if we see potential with Gemini.
- Begin taking classes to learn tips and techniques of the industry.
Do I have to be a certain age?
Gemini represents models from age 4 to 74. We have a Lifestyles Division for Models Aged 30+ and as of 2007 represent "Parts" models as well. At Gemini, we source all kinds of talent and take on new models based on demand from our clients.
Do I have to be a certain shape or size?
At Gemini, there is no specific height or weight requirement to start your modeling career or to take a course. At times, your height and/or size may limit you to the type of jobs that become available.
Is Gemini affiliated with any other Agencies?
We are affiliated with many reputable agencies both in Canada and Internationally. Feel free to contact us for more information regarding reputable Agencies and representation.
